The Stables

The Stables is a ground-floor apartment in the grounds of the owners' home in Chilsworthy, near Holsworthy, with an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area. It sleeps 4 across a double bedroom, reached by one step down, and a twin bedroom, sharing a single bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC between the two rooms.

Electric storage heaters cover the whole apartment, with fuel and power included in the rent, and the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge for self-catering. A TV with Freeview and DVD player is provided in the sitting area, along with WiFi suited to browsing rather than downloading or streaming, plus a travel cot and highchair for younger guests. Bed linen and towels are included, though guests should bring their own towels for the pool.

A private patio has furniture and a BBQ for outdoor meals, and guests can also use a shared lawned area and a shared indoor swimming pool measuring 29 by 12 feet, heated except between 1 November and 15 March. Laundry runs through a shared, coin-operated external laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome at The Stables, and the apartment is no smoking throughout. The shop and pub in Chilsworthy are about 2 miles away, useful for topping up supplies during a stay.
