Treetops

Treetops is a reverse-level house in the hamlet of Southerton, around 4 miles from Sidmouth. The living space sits upstairs, where an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area opens onto an elevated balcony, and a natural wood-fired hot tub for two waits in the garden below, freshly cleaned and refilled for each arrival but only filled and heated when guests notify the owner in advance.

Both bedrooms are king-size doubles that can be set up as twins on request, each with its own en-suite shower room, basin and WC, so the house sleeps 4 with a bathroom apiece. A woodburning stove warms the sitting area on cooler evenings, and a Smart TV with WiFi covers quieter nights in.

The kitchen has an electric oven, induction hob, microwave and a wine chiller, and a separate utility room holds a washer/dryer and dishwasher. Central heating runs throughout, with fuel and power included in the rent. Outside, the patio has sun loungers and a barbecue, and there's ample off-road parking.

Southerton is a five to ten minute walk from Harpford Common, and the village of Newton Poppleford, with its shop, Post Office and The Cannon Inn, is close by. Sidmouth's seafront is a few miles further along the coast.

Steps lead up to the entrance. No pets are allowed and smoking is not permitted indoors. The property only accommodates children aged 6 and over.
