Tillislow Barn

Tillislow Barn is a converted barn set along a quiet tarmac lane near Virginstow, on the Devon side of the border with Cornwall, roughly equidistant from Dartmoor's moorland and the Atlantic coast. It sleeps four across two bedrooms and is one of three holiday cottages within a small complex, so guests should expect other properties nearby rather than complete isolation.

Inside, the open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner is the main living space, furnished in a cottage style with sofa seating and exposed beams. A Smart TV, DVD player and Bluetooth speakers provide entertainment, and the kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, air fryer and coffee pod machine.

One bedroom sits on the lower ground floor with twin beds that can be linked into a super king-size on request, and a shower room with WC is on the same level. The second bedroom is reached via stairs from the living area and has a galleried feel with a king-size bed, though the sloping ceiling under the eaves means reduced head height in places. A travel cot and highchair are available for younger guests.

Outside, a patio area with a BBQ and seating leads to an enclosed lawned garden with views over surrounding fields. There is ample off-road parking on site, though guests should note that internet access can be intermittent given the rural setting. One dog is welcome on request, with additional charges applying, and the nearest shop and pub are around three miles away.
