Thrushel Cottage

Thrushel Cottage is a stone-built cottage in the village of Lifton, reached via several steps up to the entrance porch, with the River Thrushel running alongside the front garden. Because of the steep steps, both at the entrance and elsewhere around the property, the cottage isn't suitable for children under 8, and guests with limited mobility should plan around the steps at every access point.

Inside, the sitting room has an open fire, and the kitchen/diner is fitted with an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and dishwasher, plus a breakfast bar and a formal dining table. Electric central heating covers the cottage, and the open fire is an extra for cooler evenings, though guests need to bring their own logs as no starter fuel is provided.

Upstairs are three bedrooms: a double with its own TV, a second double, and a single, all sharing one bathroom with a bath, a shower over the bath, a heated towel rail and a WC. A TV, Smart TV, WiFi and a selection of books cover the evenings in.

Outside, a lawned front garden faces the river, and an enclosed rear garden has a lawn and a patio with seating. Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars.

Thrushel Cottage takes one well-behaved dog, and smoking isn't permitted. The village shop is around half a mile away and the pub about 0.1 miles.
