The White House

The White House is a white-washed holiday home about a 10-minute walk downhill to the harbour in Torquay, one of two Cary Court Holiday Homes on the edge of the town centre. It sleeps 4 across two bedrooms, a double and a twin that converts to a double, each with its own en-suite walk-in shower room.

The kitchen/diner has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and a picnic basket for days out. There are three TVs and WiFi throughout, though the WiFi can be unreliable through the property's old Victorian walls, and central heating covers the house with fuel and power included in the rent.

Off-road parking is available for up to two cars, at the bottom of a sloped driveway; loading and unloading can be done outside the property but the spaces are not for long-term use. Two steps lead up to the front door, worth noting if anyone in the group has limited mobility. A rear, gravelled enclosed courtyard has outdoor furniture and a gas barbecue for evenings in.

The White House takes two well-behaved pets. The nearest shop is 0.3 miles away, with a pub at 0.6 miles and the beach 1.2 miles away. Smoking is not permitted inside, and bookings run to a minimum of 3 nights.
