The Stable - The Paddock

The Stable - The Paddock is a single-storey stable conversion near South Molton in North Devon, sleeping two in a single king-size bedroom. The bedroom has its own en-suite shower room with WC, so there is no separate bathroom to arrange around, and the layout suits couples wanting a quiet, uncomplicated base for exploring Exmoor and the coast.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area forms the heart of the property, fitted with a Smart TV, an electric fire and a stable door leading directly out to the courtyard. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and a slimline dishwasher, enough for everyday cooking or a lazy breakfast before heading out.

Outside, an enclosed courtyard garden comes with seating and a charcoal barbecue, with a larger lawned area nearby also available to guests. Private parking is provided for two cars on site. A travel cot and highchair can be supplied for those travelling with young children, and two dogs are welcome by arrangement, though additional charges may apply. At Christmas the property is decorated for the season.

South Molton is within walking distance and has a twice-weekly indoor market, independent shops, cafes, pubs, takeaways and a supermarket, covering most day-to-day needs without a car. For the coast, Saunton is around 19.5 miles away, with Instow at 20 miles, Croyde at 22 miles and Woolacombe at 24.5 miles, all offering sandy beaches. Inland, the area supports walking, cycling, horse riding, golf, shooting, fishing and birdwatching, alongside historic houses and villages worth a visit. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out before 10am.
