The Edwardian House

A grand piano, high ceilings and period floor tiles distinguish The Edwardian House in Ilfracombe. Eight guests stay across four upstairs bedrooms, with separate living and dining rooms downstairs. The enclosed garden has a lawn, picnic table, additional seating and a barbecue for meals away from the main dining table.

The entrance hall leads into a sitting room with seating, a TV and the piano. At the back of the house, the separate dining room gives the group somewhere to gather without clearing the lounge. The kitchen has two ovens, a five-ring ceramic hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A pantry and utility room provide additional storage and laundry space, with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Upstairs are a super-king-size bedroom, a king-size, a double and a twin, all with decorative fireplaces. Three bathrooms comprise one bathroom with a shower over the bath and two shower rooms. An additional WC is also listed. A travel cot and highchair are available, alongside books, board games and outdoor games equipment.

Private parking accommodates three cars, and there is secure outdoor storage for bikes. The shop is 500 metres away, the pub half a mile and the beach a mile. The Ilfracombe Aquarium is an option for an outing around the harbour. Bring beach towels, as these are not supplied. Dogs are not accepted; arrival is from 4pm and departure before 10am.
