The Barn

The Barn is a large detached house on a working farm in Southleigh, near Colyton. The open-plan living area is vast, with a seating area, a pool table and table football, and a well-equipped kitchen with a central island and dining area. A private patio with table and chairs opens off the living space at the front.

Five bedrooms sit upstairs: two doubles, two twins and a family room with four single beds, each with its own en-suite bathroom and TV. A further double bedroom is on the ground floor, with an en-suite shower room and a small kitchenette and seating area of its own. The house sleeps 14 in total, and is best suited to a maximum of 12 adults.

The kitchen has a fridge, fridge-freezer, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, plus a TV with DVD and WiFi. Central heating runs alongside a wood burning stove, with fuel and power included in the rent. A cot and highchair are available on request, and off-road parking is provided for six cars.

Outside is a suntrap terrace with picnic benches and a gas barbecue, a raised deck with an 8-person hot tub, a children's play area best suited to under-fives, and an enclosed paddock for games. Three well-behaved dogs are welcome, with a per-dog supplement, and there's an additional charge to use the hot tub. No stag or hen parties are accepted, and smoking is not permitted.
