Summer Haze Cottage

Summer Haze Cottage sits in Mortehoe, a hamlet on the North Devon coast, and sleeps six across three bedrooms. The ground floor holds a double bedroom and the family bathroom with shower over bath, plus there is one additional WC elsewhere in the cottage. Beyond the kitchen, which is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, and microwave, lies an open-plan lounge and dining room where a wood burner, with a first basket of logs included, takes the edge off cooler evenings. The dining table seats all six guests comfortably, and a handcrafted wooden staircase leads up to a four-poster double and a bunk room.

Outside, the enclosed garden has a lawn with sun loungers, a charcoal BBQ, and a children's play area with swings and a slide. A fire pit provides a focal point for evening use. Private parking fits two cars on site, and up to four dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply.

The cottage is well set up for families: a stairgate, bed guard, and booster seat are all available, and a highchair can be provided. The nearest beach is around a mile away, with pubs approximately two miles distant and shops around two and a half miles. Woolacombe Bay, with its three miles of sand and well-known surfing conditions, lies under four miles away.

Lee Bay, a small cove roughly a mile from the property, can be reached on foot via a fairly challenging coastal path or by car, and suits rock pooling and sea swimming. The South West Coast Path is also within a mile, opening up routes along this stretch of the Devon coast.
