Sea Foam House

Sea Foam House sits above Ilfracombe harbour, with the harbour town's cafes, restaurants and shops within walking distance. Access to the property is via the terrace of the adjacent Royal Britannia Hotel, so this is worth bearing in mind when planning arrival with luggage. Ilfracombe is known for its working harbour and boat trips, including crossings to Lundy Island.

The house sleeps 8 across four bedrooms: a king-size room on the first floor with harbour views through original sash windows, and on the second floor a double with sea views, a twin with sea views, and a single room with an additional pull-out bed. There are two bathrooms, a ground-floor shower room with WC and an upstairs bathroom with shower over bath and WC. The open-plan ground floor holds a fitted kitchen with electric double oven and hob, fridge/freezer, wine cooler, microwave and dishwasher, plus a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. A first-floor lounge with sash windows offers a quieter spot away from the kitchen and dining area below.

Outside, a terrace with seating and a BBQ overlooks the harbour, reached across a path from the house, making it a good spot for evening meals in fine weather. Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. A travel cot and highchair are provided for younger guests, and internet access is available throughout the house.

There is no private parking at the property; visitors need to use local Pay and Display car parks, with weekly permits available in advance at a discount from the tourist information centre. The beach and local shops and restaurants are within walking distance of the house. Arrival is from 4pm and departure before 10am.
