Ruggaton Cottage

Ruggaton Cottage is one of nine properties on a small farm complex above the Sterridge Valley, close to Berrynarbor. Sheep and cows graze the surrounding meadows, and guests are welcome to meet the resident donkeys and pony grazing nearer the cottages.

The accommodation is arranged over reverse levels, with the open-plan lounge and diner upstairs alongside a separate kitchen fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, small freezer and washing machine. Downstairs are the two bedrooms: a double with an en-suite bathroom and hand-held shower over the bath, and a twin room with its own en-suite shower and WC. The cottage sleeps four.

Outside, a private courtyard comes with a picnic table and access to a charcoal barbecue, while a further lawned area with outdoor seating is shared with the rest of the complex. Guests can also use the shared indoor heated swimming pool with sunken hot tub, open daily from 9am to 6pm, and the sauna, which operates during the off-peak season only. Children have use of an enclosed outdoor play area with a swing basket, trampoline and picnic benches, plus an indoor games barn with table tennis, pool and table football.

Off-road parking is provided for two cars. Two dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying, and a travel cot and highchair are available on request. As part of a working farm and holiday complex, some outdoor and leisure facilities are shared with the other eight cottages on site rather than exclusive to this property.
