Plum Cottage

Plum Cottage sits just outside the small village of Colebrooke, a short drive from Crediton, and takes the form of a two-storey barn conversion for two. The ground floor is one open-plan room with a sitting area, kitchen and dining space, warmed by a woodburning stove alongside air source underfloor heating throughout.

Upstairs is a single king-size double bedroom with a TV, looking out over the orchard behind the cottage, and a shower room with shower, basin and WC. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent, so there's little to bring beyond luggage and holiday reading.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge, washer/dryer and dishwasher, plus a second TV and DVD player, and WiFi covers the property throughout. A cot and highchair are available on request for a travelling child. Outside, a graveled seating area with garden furniture faces the surrounding countryside, a good spot for morning coffee before a day of walking.

Parking is provided for 1 car. No pets or smoking are permitted, and a returnable housekeeping bond applies to the booking. The nearest shop is 5 miles away and a pub is a 10-minute walk, with Crediton's wider range of shops, a farmers' market and a leisure centre a short drive further on.
