Otter Pool Barn

Otter Pool Barn stands in farmland at West Down, within reach of Ilfracombe and North Devon's coastline. The property has been converted with a wide range of accessible adaptations, including a wheelchair-suitable lift connecting the ground and first floors, making all six bedrooms reachable without stairs for those who need it.

Inside, the Great Hall offers an inglenook fireplace, vaulted roof and wood burner alongside sofas and chairs for group gatherings. A separate snug lounge provides a quieter spot with its own fireplace and television. The kitchen/dining room seats up to 12 around a large wood table and includes an electric range cooker, American-style fridge/freezer with ice maker, microwave and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine. Bedrooms have oak doors and flooring, and bathrooms are fitted with roll-in showers alongside a free-standing bath in the family bathroom.

Outside there is a courtyard with garden furniture and a barbecue, plus a large field with further seating and a children's climbing frame. A private lake on the grounds has its own barbecue area and space for boating, canoeing or kayaking. The heated 5.5m pool and adjoining hot tub sit near a separate changing room with shower and WC; pool towels are provided.

Private parking is available for six cars, with electric vehicle charging payable in advance at £40 per car. Wi-Fi signal is described as weak, so those needing reliable connectivity should plan accordingly. Up to six dogs are welcome, with additional charges possibly applying. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate can be provided on request. Mid-week linen and towel changes are available at extra cost. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out before 10am.
