Orchard Loft

Orchard Loft sits in the hamlet of Brownston, a few miles from Diptford, reached by a number of gravel steps up to the entrance. Everything is on the ground floor: a single open-plan room holds the kitchen, dining area, sitting area and a double bed, so the whole studio suits a couple rather than a family or a larger group.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, with a dining area seating four for meals in. The sitting area has a large sofa and a Smart TV, plus WiFi throughout. A separate shower room has a shower cubicle, basin and WC. Electric heating, fuel and power are included in the rent.

Outside, the extended woodland garden gives room to sit or walk, with several spots for outdoor seating over the beautiful orchard garden and open skies for star-gazing on clear nights. Off-road parking is provided for one car, and there's a storage area for bikes or surf gear if you're bringing either.

Orchard Loft takes one well-behaved dog, though cats aren't accepted. Smoking isn't permitted inside, and the shop and pub or restaurant are around 0.3 miles away, a five-minute walk. The property doesn't accept short breaks during peak season, so plan a full-week stay if you're visiting in summer.
