Maple Barn

This converted barn sits on a five-acre smallholding with its own wildlife lake, home to chickens, ducks and geese. Sleeping four guests across two bedrooms, it has one bathroom with shower over bath and WC on the ground floor, plus a separate WC and basin in the second bedroom. Arrival is from 15:30 and departure by 10:00.

The ground floor opens into an open-plan kitchen and dining area with granite worktops, an island unit with stools, and a formal dining table seating four. Equipment includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A lounge beyond has a Smart TV and wood burner with the first basket of logs included. The king-size bedroom with ample storage sits at the back, adjacent to the bathroom.

The second bedroom occupies a mezzanine level reached by a staircase from the dining area, with twin zip-and-link beds that convert to a super-king on request. Outside, the enclosed private garden has a five-person hot tub with Bluetooth, a gas BBQ and seating areas with outdoor furniture. Ample private off-road parking is available on site.

Torrington is within walking distance, with a weekly market, pubs, a supermarket and independent shops. The nearest beach is nine miles away. Up to two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply, and a travel cot and highchair are available for families.
