Magnolia View

Magnolia View is a Grade II listed Devon long house in the village of Goodleigh, near Barnstaple, renovated with wood-beamed ceilings kept throughout. The cottage sleeps 8 across four bedrooms, and steps run between rooms with a step up into the property and a step out to the garden, so it needs some care for anyone with mobility issues.

Upstairs are a super-king-size room, a king-size room with its own DVD player and TV screen, a double and a twin, served by a main bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle. A second shower room sits on the ground floor. The kitchen opens onto a dining room with a table for 8 and a traditional AGA that runs through winter and spring, plus a piano, and the sitting room has a wood-burning stove and Smart TV.

The kitchen has a double electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, and a highchair, travel cot and stairgate are available. The rear garden is enclosed, with a lawn, a gravel patio area, garden furniture and a barbecue area with a picnic table.

Magnolia View welcomes one well-behaved dog, who should not be left unattended, on soft furnishings, on the sofa or beds, or upstairs. Roadside parking is available for 2 cars. The cottage requires a minimum stay of 3 nights, with no short breaks during school holidays, and does not take parties, stag or hen groups, or groups of young adults under 24. Smoking, vaping and candles are not permitted, and guests are asked to keep noise down between 11pm and 9am.
