Longbeam Cottage

Longbeam Cottage is a four-bedroom barn conversion on a 40-acre working farm near Beaworthy, sleeping up to eight guests across two bunk bedrooms on the ground floor and two double bedrooms upstairs. The property won Gold in the Self-Catering Accommodation category at the Devon Tourism Awards 2025-26. Arrivals are from 16:00 and departures before 10:00, and ample private parking is included.

The interior keeps original character intact through rugged beams, vaulted ceilings and an exposed-brick fireplace. The L-shaped lounge has an open fire with a first basket of logs supplied, plush sofas and a Smart TV with DVD player. A reading nook off the main sitting area doubles as a children's corner. The farmhouse kitchen-diner is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washer-dryer, fridge, freezer, microwave and a Nespresso machine. The two ground-floor bunk bedrooms share the family bathroom, making the layout practical for families with younger children, and a cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request on a first-come, first-served basis.

Outdoors, the enclosed garden has a lawn, patio with outdoor dining furniture, a BBQ and a trampoline. A private hot tub can be hired at an additional charge for stays of three, five or seven nights; the owner arranges this before arrival. Farm facilities shared with other guests include a heated indoor swimming pool and sauna, bookable through a guest app for guaranteed two-hour daily slots (bring your own towels), a gym, and a games room with table tennis, pool, air hockey, darts and table football. Children have access to a playground and an indoor soft-play area, and the farm grounds include a five-acre woodland, a lake and an animal barn.

The farm is a no-dog property. A pub and shops are three miles away. Note that the property configuration is due to change from March 2027, when it will sleep six across three bedrooms.
