Little Chapel

Little Chapel is a converted church building in Goodleigh, a village roughly a mile from Barnstaple, sleeping up to three guests across two bedrooms. The ground-floor single bedroom has its own TV, and the upstairs king-size room draws natural light through characterful original windows. A walk-in shower room with WC sits on the ground floor, and underfloor heating runs throughout.

The open-plan living, dining and kitchen area has vaulted ceilings and a working wood burner at its centre, with the first basket of logs included. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave, and a washing machine and Smart TV in the lounge cover practical day-to-day needs. A travel cot and highchair are available for families with young children.

Outside, a small enclosed courtyard provides a private spot for alfresco dining, with patio furniture already in place and a bike rack for guests exploring the surrounding lanes. Parking is street-only on the left side of Goodleigh Road, up a side road near the school and along Goodleigh Road itself. One dog is welcome, though additional charges may apply.

A pub sits 30 metres from the door, and Barnstaple town centre, with its pannier market and Butchers Row, is around a mile away. The nearest beach at Instow is approximately nine miles, and Exmoor National Park is within eight miles for woodland walking.
