Kingfishers Retreat

Kingfishers Retreat is a single-storey property set on a working farm near Pyworthy, around a mile from the village and its inn. It sleeps four across two bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room and WC, making it suited to couples travelling together or a small family.

Inside, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner runs the width of the property, with sliding glass doors overlooking the private fishing lake. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, and there is a dining table for four. Both bedrooms have their own Smart TV, and glass sliding doors open onto the patio.

Outside, a private patio has garden furniture, a charcoal BBQ and a hot tub, leading to a lawned area beside the lake. Fishing is available on the private stretch of water, which holds rudd and small carp, though the lake is not enclosed and children need supervising near it at all times. Off-road parking is provided for up to two cars, and an EV charger is fitted on site, subject to a £50 refundable deposit per car paid to the owner in advance.

Wi-fi is available but can be intermittent given the rural location, and the approach roads are B roads. No dogs are permitted at this property, and check-in runs from 4pm with departure by 10am.
