Down View

Down View is a thatched 17th-century cottage on the edge of Croyde, within a mile of the village pub, shop and beach. Sleeping four across two bedrooms, it combines period character with a practical layout suited to a family or couples holidaying together. Croyde's sandy beach is well known for swimming and surfing, and Woolacombe, four miles away, offers three miles of golden sand with a dog-friendly stretch. Mortehoe and Woolacombe Golf Course lies three miles off, and the South West Coast Path passes nearby for walkers, with Exmoor National Park reachable further afield.

Entry leads straight into the dining room, which connects through to a lounge with a Smart TV. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, slimline dishwasher and washer/dryer, along with a fridge/freezer. A ground-floor shower room with walk-in shower and WC completes the downstairs accommodation, while a steep staircase leads up to the double and twin bedrooms.

Outside, an enclosed lawned garden comes with patio furniture, useful for a morning coffee or an evening drink, and there is a separate patio area with outdoor seating overlooking the surrounding countryside. Parking is available for one car on site.

One dog is welcome, though additional charges may apply. Towels are included in the stay, and internet access is available throughout. Arrival is from 16:00, with departure required before 10:00 on the day of leaving. The cottage's position close to the village keeps it a convenient base for beach days at Croyde, coastal walks and exploring further along towards Woolacombe.
