Leadengate Fields

This chalet-style bungalow sits in Croyde, with the pub, a shop and the beach all within half a mile. The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area has a high ceiling that keeps the space light, a Smart TV, and a dining table seating four, making it a comfortable base for a family or two couples travelling together.

The ground floor holds two double bedrooms and two shower rooms with walk-in showers, so early risers and late sleepers need not share a bathroom queue. A staircase leads up to a twin room, suitable for children, bringing the total sleeping capacity to four plus two. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, a slimline dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and coffee pod machine, while the washing machine is located in an outside shed rather than the kitchen itself.

French doors from the lounge open onto an enclosed, lawned garden with a decked seating area, a charcoal barbecue and garden furniture, well suited to outdoor meals during a stay. Surfboards and bikes can be stored on site, and bodyboards are available for guests to use. Parking is provided for two cars, and there is electric vehicle charging on site, useful for those arriving with an EV for the coastal drive.

One dog is welcome, though additional charges may apply, so anyone travelling with more than one pet should check before booking. Internet access is available throughout the property. Arrival is from 4pm and departure before 10am, and with the beach, shops and restaurants of Croyde close by, a car is not essential for daily outings, though most visitors will still want one for exploring further afield along the coast.
