Baggy Point gives a Croyde holiday a coastal walk as well as beach time. Use the National Trust’s route directions rather than assuming every path around the headland has the same surface or exposure. Decide where you will turn back before the walk becomes longer than your party wants.
A short circular route
The Trust’s Baggy Point short circular walk is two miles. It grades the route easy and gives an estimated walking time of 40 minutes, while warning that a short downhill section can be slippery in wet weather. Allow your own time for stops and adjust plans to conditions.
A published grade cannot tell you whether a route suits a particular pushchair, wheelchair or walker. Read the full route and access information, and contact the National Trust if a detail is decisive for your visit.
Parking and facilities
The Baggy Point visitor page gives directions to the Moor Lane car park. The approach is single track and the Trust advises against vehicles over six metres long. Parking uses JustPark; prepare the app before arrival because the mobile signal can be limited.
The site lists toilets, an accessible toilet and Sandleigh tea-room. Check their current opening arrangements before setting out. A facility at the start of the walk does not imply equivalent access around the headland.
Adding the beach
Our Croyde Bay beach guide covers the beach’s separate swimming advice and seasonal dog rules. Keep those checks distinct from planning a headland walk, especially if you intend to do both during the same visit.
