Dartmoor River Retreat

This single-bedroom pod sits beside the River Avon in Avonwick, near Totnes, sleeping two adults. The open-plan studio combines lounge, kitchen and sleeping area under one roof, with a king-size bed at one end and a shower room with WC adjacent. The compact kitchen includes a two-ring gas hob, combi microwave oven and fridge with ice compartment. A sofa and Smart TV with views across the garden complete the lounge end.

Outside, a decked area fronts the river and comes with a private wood-fired hot tub, the first large box of firewood provided and additional wood available to purchase directly from the owner. A fire pit sits on the same decking. A shared sauna with dry heat is available at an extra cost of £1 per 38-minute session. Private off-road parking for one car is directly outside.

One dog is welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. River and woodland walks begin from the doorstep. The South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty lies to the south, with Salcombe and Dartmouth accessible for independent shops, galleries and restaurants. The South Devon Railway, Plymouth and Exeter are also within reach for day trips.

A pub is within walking distance of the pod. The nearest beach is 11 miles away and the closest shop 10 miles. Towels and linen are included. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
