Coombe Valley Shepherd's Hut

Coombe Valley Shepherd's Hut is a single-storey hut in its own garden area on the edge of Combeinteignhead, with ground-floor living throughout. It sleeps 2 in a studio-style layout with a double bed on a raised pocket-sprung mattress, a kitchenette and a dining area, plus a separate shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC.

The shaker-style kitchen has a microwave, toaster, kettle, an induction hob and a fridge with an ice box, along with pans, utensils and crockery. A wall-mounted electric heater warms the hut, and there is WiFi, a hairdryer, a clothes airer and a built-in bluetooth sound system. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

Outside, a private front garden has a lawn, patio, furniture, a fire pit, a barbecue and an outdoor double-ended bath, though the space is not fenced. The garden is bordered by a stream and is not considered suitable for young children, though couples are welcome to bring a baby and a travel cot. Off-road parking is available, up a gentle slope.

The hut takes one small, well-behaved dog, and smoking is not permitted. There are four steps up to the property, and the shower room is compact, which may not suit guests with limited mobility. The pub and the river are around 0.2 miles away, and the shop around 1.5 miles.
