Cobb Cottage

Cobb Cottage is a restored two-bedroom stone cottage in Higher Clovelly, sleeping four guests. A porch opens into a dining room with stone flags and exposed beams that speak to the building's age. The lounge has a large open woodburner with logs included, a Smart TV and comfortable seating. The newly fitted galley kitchen provides granite worksurfaces, an electric oven, two-ring hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine; a small freezer is kept in the donkey stable at the front of the property.

Upstairs, the bunk room contains two full-size bunk beds in an open-plan layout designed to offer a degree of privacy, though foot room on the top bunk is restricted. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over and WC. The master double bedroom has double-aspect windows and exposed beams, with views across to the sea and Lundy Island.

The staircase is steep with open treads and some ceilings are lower than average, which is worth bearing in mind when booking with young children or anyone who finds stairs difficult. One allocated parking space sits in front of the garage; other vehicles may use roadside parking nearby. The rear garden wraps around the side of the property with garden furniture and a BBQ. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, and two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply.

The beach, pubs and shops are 1.6 miles away. Clovelly village descends via a cobbled street to a working harbour, with pubs, shops and restaurants along the route. The surf beach at Westward Ho! and the coastline at Hartland Point are both reachable by car for a broader North Devon coastal trip.
