Chestnut Cottage - Westleigh

Chestnut Cottage sits in the small hamlet of Westleigh, near Instow on the North Devon coast, and suits couples or small families travelling with up to two dogs. The property sleeps four across two bedrooms: one with a king-size bed plus an additional single, served by an en-suite shower room, and a second king-size room served by the family bathroom with shower over bath. Both bedrooms have views over surrounding greenery.

Downstairs, the kitchen/diner has an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine, with dining space looking out towards the garden. The adjoining lounge has a Smart TV and a wood burner, supplied with an initial basket of logs, making it a straightforward base for evenings in after a day on the coast. Exposed beams and stone walls remain from the original cottage.

Outside, guests have an enclosed patio with outdoor seating and a separate raised decking area, both suited to eating outdoors when the weather allows. There is no dedicated parking at the property; roadside parking is available in the village and guests can unload at the end of the lane. Access involves uneven steps and narrow lanes, worth bearing in mind for those with heavy luggage or mobility concerns.

A pub is less than 100 metres away, and Instow's shops and beach are around 1.5 miles from the cottage. A highchair and travel cot can be provided on request, and two dogs are welcome, with additional charges possibly applying. Wifi is available at the property. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
