Burrows Farmhouse

This thatched farmhouse cottage in Croyde accommodates eight guests across four bedrooms. On the ground floor there is a twin room alongside a shower room with WC and washing machine. Upstairs, two double bedrooms and a further twin room share a family bathroom with bath; one of the doubles looks over the garden, and the twin can be converted to a superking on request. A separate WC sits on the upper landing. A tumble dryer is housed in the back porch, which doubles as a useful boot and board store.

The original oak front door opens into a slate-floored hallway that leads to a sitting room with oak floors and an inglenook fireplace. Patio doors connect the living room to the garden. The kitchen and dining area are open-plan, with an electric cooker and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and countertop freezer. A Smart TV with Freeview sits in the lounge, and the ground floor bedroom has its own TV. A highchair, travel cot and stairgate are all provided. Private parking is available for up to three cars.

The cottage garden has established trees, shrubs and a large lawn well suited to outdoor games or relaxed afternoons outside. A sheltered patio near the house has a long wooden table for al fresco dining. The high street, with shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, is roughly 100 metres away on foot from the garden gate.

Billy Bud's paved pathway, reachable just a few hundred metres from the door, leads to the beach just over half a mile away. Croyde's horseshoe bay attracts rock poolers and beginner and intermediate surfers, with lifeguards on duty in summer. The North Devon Coastal Path runs along the surrounding cliffs out to Baggy Point, managed by the National Trust. One dog is welcome; additional pet charges may apply.
