Ashtree Cottage

Ashtree Cottage sits in countryside near Muddiford, within reach of North Devon's beaches and coastal villages. The property sleeps 6 across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Arrival from 15:00, departure by 10:00. Two dogs are welcome; additional charges may apply. Note that a public footpath runs across the front of the cottage.

The ground floor opens directly from a patio into a kitchen/diner with vaulted ceiling, electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher, and Nespresso machine. A hallway cupboard houses the washer/dryer. Up on the first floor, the lounge has a wood burner, Smart TV, and bi-fold doors opening onto the patio. The master super-king-size bedroom is also on the first floor, with a terrace and adjacent wet room with shower and WC. Two further bedrooms on the lower ground floor share a bathroom with shower over bath and WC. A cot and highchair are available.

Outside, the enclosed patio has a gas BBQ and circular table for six. A separate terrace with seating adjoins the master bedroom. An outside shower with hot water is handy after beach or muddy-paws days. A hot tub is available on the property. Beyond the wooden-fenced lower garden, two five-bar gates give access to 12 acres of meadowland with a stream running through; children and dogs must be supervised at the stream.

Off-road parking fits two cars. EV charging is on-site, payable via an app with your own cable. Airband broadband is installed. A pub is reachable on foot via a public footpath from the property. The first basket of logs for the wood burner is included, all bedrooms have Smart TVs and hairdryers, and the property is decorated for Christmas. The nearest beach is 9 miles away; the nearest shop is 5 miles.
