Thorney Cross Blackthorn

This glamping pod sits within an open meadow near Ashwater, offering accommodation for two guests in a single open-plan space. Floor-to-ceiling glazing at the front brings in plenty of light, and a level glass door leads straight into the living area, where the king-size bed is set centrally with a kitchenette and dining space to one side.

The kitchenette is fitted with an electric combination oven/microwave, a two-ring induction hob and a fridge with an ice compartment, along with a coffee machine for making the most of a slow morning. A double sofa bed can be requested at the time of booking, useful for an additional guest or child, though it does not raise the pod's booked capacity of two. A Smart TV and built-in Bluetooth speaker system are provided for evenings in.

The en-suite wet room has a walk-in shower and WC, and bathrobes are supplied. Outside, guests have use of a private enclosed garden with seating and a fire pit/BBQ, well suited to eating outdoors. From 19th October 2026 a wood-fired hot tub for private use is due to be added, with towels provided; check current availability before relying on it for a stay booked around that date.

A level pathway with no steps connects the pod to an adjacent car park, where ample parking is provided. A shared electric vehicle charging point can be arranged on request, at an additional cost payable to the owner. Two dogs are welcome, with additional charges likely to apply, and a village shop and pub are within a mile of the property.
