The Woodshed

The Woodshed is converted from the end of the owner's oak-framed barn on the edge of Upton Pyne, near Stoke Canon, with views over the Exe Valley as far as the Killerton estate. Upstairs, under the eaves, a wood burning stove warms the airy sitting room, and French windows open onto a balcony overlooking the countryside.

A couple of steps lead down to the two bedrooms, a king-size double and a small twin, which share a family shower room. The lower-floor kitchen has a dining area, and the property has a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and a Smart TV with Blu-ray, DVD and WiFi, with the washing machine and dryer kept in a garage shared with the owner. Cot and highchair are available on request.

Off-road parking is provided for two cars. A gravel path leads down to an outdoor seating area for eating alfresco, and guests are also welcome in the owners' garden, where hens and cats roam free. One well-behaved dog is welcome, and the cottage is no smoking.

The property sleeps a maximum of 4, including babies. Bookings run to a maximum of two weeks, a minimum stay of 5 nights applies, and the cottage is let for holiday or leisure use only, not for work purposes.
