The Old School House

The Old School House stands in the centre of Lustleigh, converted from the village's former Victorian school, with the layout spread over two floors. A living room downstairs has an electric stove styled as a wood burner, along with a Smart TV and a piano, and an archway leads through to the kitchen/dining room for cooking with local produce.

Upstairs, a king-size double bedroom and a twin room sit under period beams with wrought iron supports, sharing a ground-floor shower room; a separate WC and basin are also upstairs. A lawn garden wraps around the cottage with two patios for eating outside and a firepit to sit around once the sun goes down.

The kitchen has a microwave, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher, and there's WiFi throughout, with fuel, power, bed linen and towels included in the rent. Off-road parking fits one car, with further parking usually available on the quiet road nearby.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and smoking isn't permitted. The village tea room, shop and pub are all within 150 yards of the cottage, and Dartmoor's eastern slopes and Lustleigh Cleave are close by for walking, picnicking or admiring the view. Riding, fishing and golf can all be found nearby, and the sea and beaches at Teignmouth or Torbay are around 10 miles away.
