The Coach House

The Coach House is a single-storey cottage in Gulworthy, on the edge of the Tamar Valley near Tavistock. It sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, a double and a twin, and shares its site with Tamar Valley Camping, a small campsite next door. Guests can use the shared children's play field, dog-walking meadows and a small on-site shop selling essentials.

Inside, an open-plan living area has a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area seating four and a sitting area with a woodburning stove, its starter pack of fuel included in the rent; extra wood is available on request for a charge. The double bedroom and twin bedroom each have a TV, and a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC serves both.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Outside, an enclosed garden has a patio, lawn and furniture, with views across Dartmoor National Park. On site, archery lessons are available for an extra charge, and the campsite's pigs can be seen on request.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, kept off the furniture, and guests should tell the owners in advance if they're bringing a pet. Off-road parking is provided, smoking is not permitted, and the shop, pub and river are all under 2 miles away.
