Shepps Cott

Shepps Cott is a four-bedroom cottage in Kentisbury on the edge of Exmoor National Park, sleeping up to eight guests across two king-size rooms, a double, and a super-king with zip-and-link beds that convert to twins on request. One king-size room has a Juliet balcony and its own en-suite shower room and WC, while a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower and WC serves the remaining bedrooms. A further separate WC sits on the ground floor.

The cottage runs on solar power and an air source heat pump, and the kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. A dedicated snug on the ground floor gives children their own space on wet days, while the lounge has a wood burner with the first basket of logs included and patio doors that open onto the garden. A Smart TV and welcome pack are also provided.

Outside, the enclosed garden features a decked and gravelled area with outdoor furniture, a charcoal BBQ for alfresco meals, and a private hot tub for unwinding after a day on the hills or coast. An untethered EV charger is available on site at no extra charge, though guests need to bring their own cable. Up to two dogs are welcome, with additional charges possibly applying.

Combe Martin, roughly three miles away, has a pub, a shop and a shallow shingle cove popular with kayakers and paddleboarders. The beach is approximately four miles from the cottage. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
