Orchard Cottage sits in countryside near North Molton, sleeping up to six across three first-floor bedrooms. The king-size room has an en-suite shower room and original stone walls; the double room features a free-standing bath in its en-suite; and the super-king zip-and-link room, which can be arranged as twin beds on request, has double-aspect windows and its own en-suite shower room. Low beams on the upper floor are worth noting before you book. A downstairs WC and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer complete the layout.

The kitchen is entered directly from outside and is designed for sociable cooking, equipped with an electric range-style cooker, dishwasher, American-style fridge-freezer with water and ice dispenser, microwave and built-in coffee machine. The open-plan lounge and dining area has bi-fold doors onto the garden and an 85-inch Smart TV. Original oak beams and flooring and exposed cob and stonework run throughout, giving the interior considerable character.

Outside, the lawned garden is bordered by shrubs, hedgerows, flowerbeds and roses, with outdoor seating for meals and drinks. Private parking is available for three cars. A fishing lake is around 50 metres away, as are a pub and a village shop. The property uses a private water supply, and no dogs are permitted.

The River Mole footpath connects the cottage to the wider area: North Molton lies around 2 miles along the path in one direction, while the market town of South Molton is roughly 1.5 miles in the other. The North Devon coastline is around 20 miles away, and Exmoor's walking routes are accessible from the surrounding countryside.
