Oakfield Barn

Oakfield Barn is a four-bedroom barn conversion set on working farmland just outside Crediton, sleeping up to eight guests. Two bedrooms have super-king-size zip-and-link beds and can be made up as twins on request; the remaining two are configured as zip-and-link twins and can be converted to super-king-size beds on request. The two super-king rooms each have an en-suite with shower over bath and WC, while the two twin rooms have an en-suite shower cubicle with WC. A separate WC sits in the utility room, which also houses a washing machine and tumble dryer, keeping laundry well away from the main living space.

The open-plan kitchen and dining area seats up to nine and comes equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, two fridges, freezer, microwave and dishwasher. A kitchen island with bar seating forms the social centrepiece of the space. Underfloor heating runs beneath the kitchen, dining area and all bedrooms. The rear lounge has a wood burner with a first basket of logs provided from October half-term through to the end of April, and patio doors that open directly onto the garden.

Outside, a private enclosed rear garden includes a lawned area, pergola seating, a charcoal BBQ and a private hot tub. An outdoor dog shower is on hand, and when the adjacent field is clear of livestock, guests may walk there with dogs kept on leads. Four off-road parking spaces are available.

Crediton town centre is around two miles away with a bi-monthly farmers' market, and a pub and shop are reachable in just over a mile. Exeter is roughly eight miles away and offers a full day of dining and sightseeing. A travel cot and highchair are available on request. Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. Check-in is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
