This ground-floor annexe sits in a quiet lane beside the owner's bungalow in Sidford, a small village a short distance from Sidmouth and its Jurassic Coast shoreline. It suits couples looking for a compact, self-contained base, with accommodation for two guests throughout.

Inside, an inner hall leads to a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, cafetiere and electric oven and hob. A few steps down bring you to the sitting room, furnished with a dining table for two, a sofa and a rocking chair. Floor-to-ceiling double doors slide open to the courtyard, giving the room a connected outdoor feel. The double bedroom has a king bed and a bow window to the front, with an adjoining lobby offering clothes storage. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over.

Outside, three steps lead down from the sitting room to a rear, enclosed courtyard with a BBQ and table and chairs for outdoor dining, plus views over the surrounding countryside. Guests may occasionally be able to use the owner's adjoining lawn garden via the courtyard gate, though this is not guaranteed as a private space. Private parking is provided on site.

One small dog is welcome, with an additional charge, and a wooden travel cot and highchair are available on request, with room in the hall or lobby for the cot if needed. Guests should note that the owners live next door in the bungalow, which may suit those who prefer a quieter, more low-key stay. Arrival is from 4pm and departure by 10am.
