Lakeside Lodge 2

Lakeside Lodge 2 sleeps six across three bedrooms within 23 acres of countryside close to Shebbear, near Hatherleigh in North Devon. The double bedroom has its own en-suite shower room and WC; the two twin rooms share a family bathroom with a bath, handheld shower and WC. A sofa bed is also available if needed, though the core capacity of six is met by the three bedrooms alone. Underfloor heating runs throughout, keeping the lodge comfortable year-round without relying on radiators.

The open-plan living, dining and kitchen area forms the main social space. Oak floors, a wood burner with a first basket of logs included, and a Smart TV make for easy evenings indoors, while patio doors in the dining area open toward the lake. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine, covering the practical needs of a self-catering stay.

Outside, a decked area sits directly beside the fishing lake, with outdoor dining furniture and two private fishing bays for guests who want to angle from their own pitch. Parking is available for two cars on site. A pub and shops are around half a mile away, and the nearest beach is roughly 15 miles. No dogs are permitted at this property.

The lodge runs on an air source heat pump and solar panels alongside the wood burner. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
