Hyford Wood

This detached holiday home sits down a quiet lane with its own private driveway, a short drive from the North Devon coast near Bideford. It suits families, groups of friends or multi-generational gatherings looking for a self-catering base with space to spread out.

All four bedrooms are on the ground floor, each fitted with a Smart TV. These comprise a king-size room with built-in wardrobes, a versatile twin zip-and-link that can be made up as a super-king on request, a super-king room with its own en-suite shower room, WC and direct garden access, and a double bedroom. A family bathroom with bath and separate shower serves the remaining rooms, alongside the en-suite, giving two bathrooms across the property for eight guests.

Upstairs, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area forms the main living space, lit by a large picture window and warmed by a wood burner with a first basket of logs included. The kitchen is set up for group self-catering, with an induction hob, electric oven, combination microwave, built-in fridge/freezer, Nespresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. A welcome hamper is provided on arrival, and a travel cot and highchair are available for younger guests.

Outside, an enclosed garden and patio area includes sun loungers, an outdoor sofa, a wood-fired barbecue, fire pit and outdoor shower, with a private hot tub and sauna for evenings in. Off-road parking is available for up to four cars, and up to three dogs are welcome with additional charges applying. Beaches, pubs and shops are within a short distance, and the property has wifi throughout for those wanting to keep in touch during their stay.
