Bybury Cottage

Bybury Cottage sits on a working 700-acre dairy farm a short distance from Bideford, offering single-level accommodation for up to six guests. The layout is straightforward for a family or group holiday, with everything on one floor and no stairs to navigate between rooms.

Inside, a lounge and dining area forms the heart of the cottage, complete with a feature fireplace and a SMART TV. French doors lead down one step to a light-filled sun lounge with its own seating area and TV/DVD, which in turn gives access to the swimming pool and gym room. Guests have sole use of a private heated indoor pool (heated to 86°F, so bring your own towels), along with a small gym area fitted with a treadmill and exercise bike. A separate shower and WC serve this part of the cottage. The kitchen has been recently remodelled and comes equipped with an electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave, while a utility room off the kitchen houses the freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The three bedrooms all look out over the surrounding countryside: two king-size rooms, each with its own TV/DVD, and one twin room. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath is supplemented by a separate WC elsewhere in the cottage. Outside, a large enclosed garden includes a patio area with garden furniture and a barbecue, ideal for evenings after a day exploring the farm surroundings or visiting nearby Bideford for its shops, pubs and restaurants.

Practical points to note before booking: there is ample parking on site, electricity and Wi-Fi are included in the stay, and the property is non-smoking. Dogs are not permitted. A travel cot and highchair are available for younger guests, and the cottage is decorated for Christmas over the festive period.
