Hutchinghayes Farmhouse

Hutchinghayes Farmhouse stands in Combe Raleigh, a village close to Honiton, and sleeps up to ten guests across four bedrooms. Two of the king-size rooms include an additional single bed, useful for families, while the remaining king-size room and a double complete the sleeping arrangements. Three bathrooms serve the house, including two en-suites (one with a walk-in shower and roll-top bath, one with a shower cubicle), plus a shower-over-bath family bathroom and a separate cloakroom WC.

Inside, an oak-panelled entrance hall leads to a living room with a wood-burning stove set within a large inglenook, and a second sitting room, styled as a library, with its own wood burner, games and a large TV. The farmhouse kitchen has an AGA range cooker, fridge, freezer and dishwasher, running through to a utility room. A light-filled conservatory looks over the lake and adjoining hills, opening to a dining room with an original brick bread oven, once part of the farm's dairy and bakery.

Grounds are shared with the wider estate and include a covered BBQ terrace, a sheltered dining terrace and an Italianate courtyard, backing onto lawns, two lakes with a boat house, and a fenced sheep and pig enclosure to look around. The lakes are not fully fenced, so the property is not considered suitable for young children, and swimming, boating and fishing are not permitted anywhere on the grounds. The estate owner lives separately on site and offers a personal welcome on arrival.

A travel cot and highchair are available on request, and private parking with a garage is provided. Two dogs may stay, with additional charges possibly applying, though stag and hen parties are not permitted. Wifi is available at the property. The nearest pub and shop are around a mile away.
