Home House

This thatched Devon longhouse in Combeinteignhead sleeps eight across five bedrooms: two king-size rooms each with their own en-suite, two twin rooms and a single. Three bathrooms serve the house: one en-suite with shower over bath, one en-suite shower room, and a family bathroom with free-standing bathtub and separate shower, alongside two further WCs. No dogs are permitted. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure by 10:00.

The ground floor centres on a sitting room with a Smart TV and a wood burner, the first basket of logs supplied. A kitchen-diner with a central oak table and a Rangemaster oven handles group meals, while a utility room adds a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge-freezer and a second oven and hob. A separate study and games room contains a pool table, desk space and a selection of books and board games.

Outside, the garden has ample seating, a BBQ area and a summer house with exposed stonework and wooden beams. A stream runs through the lower section and children must be supervised near it at all times. A separate garden area can be secured for younger children. Across the stream sits the standout practical feature: a private indoor heated swimming pool complete with changing rooms, a shower and a WC. Five parking spaces are available on site, and a travel cot and highchair are on hand for families.

The Teign Estuary is around half a mile away, and the South West Coast Path can be joined within two miles. Shaldon and Teignmouth, with cafes, pubs and beaches, lie roughly two miles away, while Torquay and the English Riviera coast are about three miles in the other direction. Two village pubs are within a mile's walk of the house.
