Goldcrest

Goldcrest is a single-storey shepherd's hut set in woodland close to Postbridge on Dartmoor. The interior is studio-style, with a king-size bed, kitchen and dining area sharing one open-plan room, plus a separate shower room. It sleeps 2, and suits a couple wanting a small, self-contained base on the moor rather than a full-size cottage.

The kitchen has an induction hob, microwave and a miniature Everhot electric stove for cooking, and WiFi covers the hut. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. The shower room has a walk-in shower, a wash basin and a WC. Outside, patio furniture sits on a patio area surrounded by woodland, with far-reaching views toward the open moor.

Off-road parking is provided at the hut. No pets are allowed and the property is no smoking throughout. A sauna is available on site, subject to availability, for an additional charge. Forest and moorland walks lead directly from the door, making Goldcrest a practical base for walkers who want to head straight out from where they're staying.

Postbridge itself has a shop 2.3 miles away and a pub 2.4 miles away. Chagford is 6.9 miles from the hut, Okehampton 18.7 miles and Plymouth 21 miles, putting the wider moor and the coast within reach for day trips.
