Exmoor Retreat

This retreat near Challacombe sits within its own grounds on Exmoor, with the working farm around it and no immediate neighbours. It sleeps eight across four bedrooms, making it suited to two families or an extended group travelling together.

The kitchen/diner has exposed beams and is fitted with an electric double oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and coffee machine. The master bedroom sits just off the kitchen with an en-suite shower room and its own door onto the patio; a second en-suite shower room serves the king-size bedroom. A separate bathroom with bath and shower completes the arrangement, and the whole house has underfloor heating with slate flooring throughout.

Outside, a two-tier stone patio leads onto a private garden of around a third of an acre, separated from the farm with no neighbours overlooking it, and fitted with a hot tub, garden furniture, a fire pit and a Weber BBQ. Dog owners can make use of the farm's stock-free fields to exercise pets, with three dogs permitted at an additional charge. Off-road parking is provided for three medium-sized cars on a cobblestone entrance, with further parking available on request, and a 7kw EV charging point is sited just behind the property.

A shop and pub are within a quarter of a mile, and the coast is a short drive away. Wifi is available at the property. A second, separately bookable property sleeping two sits close by, so those wanting complete privacy should check availability of that neighbouring unit before booking.
