Dartmoor Lodge

Dartmoor Lodge sits around two miles from Okehampton, close to the north-western edge of Dartmoor National Park. It sleeps six across three bedrooms and is entered via a short flight of external wooden steps, so it may not suit guests with mobility difficulties.

Inside, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner forms the main living space, with a flame-effect electric fire, Smart TV and a dining table for six. Large patio doors open onto a decked terrace, extending the living area outdoors in warmer weather. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a Tassimo coffee machine (pods not included), while a separate utility room houses the washing machine and offers extra storage.

The double bedroom has plenty of storage, a television and an en-suite shower room with WC. The two twin rooms, one fitted with 2'6" single beds, share a further bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, useful for families travelling with young children.

The enclosed decked terrace is furnished with a table and chairs for outdoor dining, and a private hot tub offers a place to unwind after a day on the moor; note that it is drained and refilled between bookings, so it may not reach full temperature on the first evening. A barbecue can be hired on request from the owner for £25 per week, with £10 refunded if returned clean. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, with shared electric vehicle charging on site, and a restaurant and bar are within walking distance. One dog is welcome, though additional charges may apply.
