Brokan @ Fourwinds

Brokan is the first-floor apartment within Fourwinds Cottages, a group of three converted cottages in the village of Meldon, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and around 3 miles from Okehampton. The entrance is reached up a flight of stairs, which can be steep for some guests, and the apartment sleeps 6 across three bedrooms.

A hallway leads to a sitting room with countryside views, a television and electric heating with a woodburning-effect stove. The kitchen/diner has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, freezer and a dining table for meals in.

The double bedroom has its own fireplace and views, and there are two twin rooms alongside. A bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and WC serves the bedrooms, with a separate cloakroom holding a basin and WC. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

Fourwinds Cottages share a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, a games room with a pool table and football table, and a rear garden with patio and furniture. Off-road parking is provided, with extra spaces available if required. WiFi can be intermittent given the rural location.

No pets and no smoking are permitted. The nearest pub is about a mile away and the nearest shop 1.4 miles. Okehampton itself has a medieval castle, a golf club and a train station on the Dartmoor Line to Exeter, with the Museum of Dartmoor Life a short drive further on.
