Brimpts Cottage

Brimpts Cottage sits on Brimpts Farm near the village of Dartmeet, within Dartmoor National Park, closer to open moorland than to Ponsworthy, the nearest destination on the map. The ground floor has an open-plan living room with a sitting and dining area, plus a well-equipped kitchen and a conservatory-style dining room with bi-fold doors looking out over the moor.

Steep stairs lead up to the three bedrooms, one with a double bed and two twins, along with a bathroom with a bath and shower over. A ground-floor shower room adds a second bathroom. The kitchen has an electric range-style oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine, and the living room has a TV, DVD player and WiFi.

Outside, an enclosed gravelled garden looks across fields and moorland and offers a picnic table and a hot tub, a place to unwind after a day's walk. A travel cot and highchair are available on request, and off-road parking is provided for two cars.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome at Brimpts Cottage, and smoking is not permitted. The nearest pub is a mile away and the closest shop six miles, and the steep stairs are worth planning around for anyone in the group who finds them difficult.
