Bourne Lodge

Bourne Lodge is a two-bedroom, ground-floor lodge sleeping four adults set within 80 acres of woodland near Witheridge, with 20 of those acres available exclusively to guests. A private fishing lake, woodland paths and open meadow space sit right outside, making this a practical base for anyone travelling with up to two dogs.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area is framed by floor-to-ceiling windows looking onto the lake and trees beyond. Underfloor heating runs throughout, and a wood burner with a first basket of logs included takes the edge off cooler evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped with an Aga, electric oven, separate hobs, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and coffee machine. A rear utility room adds a washing machine and tumble dryer alongside boot storage, and there is a separate WC in addition to the main family bathroom, which has a rainfall shower over the bath.

The master bedroom has a super-king zip-and-link bed that can be configured as two singles on request, though note that bookings made within three days of arrival will be set up as a double only. The second bedroom has a king-size bed. Both rooms have Smart TVs and ample storage. A highchair and travel cot are available on request.

The private patio has outdoor seating, a firepit and a charcoal BBQ. Parking is provided for two cars on the driveway, which is monitored by an in-home display camera visible only inside the lodge. A shop and pub are roughly two miles away, and the nearest beach is approximately 35 miles.
