This Grade II-listed cottage dates to circa 1650 and retains original character throughout, with exposed beams and period features running from the entrance hallway to the lounge. Located in Witheridge, a village surrounded by rolling Mid Devon countryside, it sleeps up to five guests across three bedrooms. Two entrance doorways serve the property: one opening to a hallway with the ground floor shower room and kitchen/diner, the other leading directly into the lounge.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric range oven set into the original inglenook, a convection hob, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A dining table sits within the kitchen/diner for meals in. In the lounge, a realistic-looking electric fire converted from an old stove sits alongside a Smart TV and comfortable sofas. All three bedrooms are upstairs: two doubles with ample storage and one single, with the master bedroom benefiting from an en-suite bathroom containing a rainfall shower over the bath and WC.

Low ceilings, uneven flooring and cottage-style stairs are characteristics of the building and worth considering when booking. A stairgate, highchair and travel cot are all available. From the kitchen, a door leads to an enclosed stone gravel courtyard with outdoor seating. Free parking is available on-street outside the property or in the village square nearby. A shop is 50 metres away and a pub or restaurant 70 metres.

No dogs are permitted at this property. The thatched roof means smoking, candles, BBQs and all naked flames are prohibited both inside and immediately outside the cottage. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
