Birdsong Barn

Birdsong Barn is a detached barn conversion sitting in an elevated spot on the edge of Exmoor National Park, a few miles from Combe Martin. It sleeps two guests in a single king-size bedroom, making it suited to couples rather than families or groups.

The open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner has vaulted ceilings, exposed stonework and original timber beams, with French doors opening onto the garden and skylights letting in plenty of natural light. A wood burner sits opposite a Smart TV, and the first basket of logs is supplied. A ladder leads up to a mezzanine level, a quiet spot for reading rather than additional sleeping space. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, and underfloor heating runs throughout the property.

The ground-floor shower room has a WC. Outside, a patio holds a barbecue and a private hot tub with robes included, looking over fields down to the valley and sea. The lawn continues to a picnic area at the bottom of the garden, useful for those content to stay close to the property. Guests are asked to supervise toddlers carefully, as there is a fairly high drop into the neighbouring garden.

Private parking is available on site, and wifi is provided throughout. One dog is welcome, with additional charges applying. Beaches, shops, pubs and restaurants are a short drive away, and the property is decorated for Christmas during the festive season.
