7 The Retreat

7 The Retreat is a one-minute walk from the beach in Paignton, a three-storey semi-detached cottage with a ground-floor cloakroom, kitchen/diner and sitting room. It sleeps 6 across three bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, and gas central heating covers the property.

The bedrooms are spread over the first and second floors, reached by carpeted stairs. One first-floor twin room can be arranged as a double on request, and the front-facing first-floor bedroom opens onto a balcony, while the second-floor loft room has two single beds. A side gate makes it easy to bring beach gear and bicycles in and out.

Outside, the enclosed rear courtyard has patio furniture, a small summerhouse and a charcoal barbecue. Off-road parking is provided for two cars, and the kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/dryer and dishwasher, alongside a Smart TV, sound bar and WiFi.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and smoking is not permitted. From June to the end of September the cottage only takes weekly bookings starting on a Friday. The shop and pub are a three-minute walk away, and a cot, highchair and stairgate are all available, with a selection of books and games in the sitting room.
